At the end of season 5, the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 attempted to blow up a Dharma Station from the past in an attempt to stop the crash from ever happening. Were they successful?

Well, one of the Comic-Cons released by ABC shows Hurley advertising his company, and Oceanic Airlines boasting about their 100% safety record. This suggests that Jack's plan worked and that the 'crash' never happened.

However, if you look at one of the posters released by ABC advertising Lost Season 6, you can note that some of the people appear as they did at the end of Season 5. For example, Bernard still has his beard in the poster that he had when he was found at the end of the fifth series. This may suggest that the crash did still happen, or at least, for some people, if that makes sense. However, in the same poster mentioned several characters that are supposed to be dead are in it, for example, Boone, Shannon, Charlotte and more. This suggests that the crash did not happen or there must be some other explanation as to why they are alive once again.

I do not think that they can have just reset the crash completely, otherwise wouldn't ABC just screen the first season again? I think not. Furthermore, we still do not know what has happened to John Locke and why Jacob's brother has taken over his body (Yes, if you did not know that the man in black clothes that talks to Jacob at the end of Season 5 is Jacob's brother).

In my opinion, it looks like the crash was reset, to a certain extent. For example, perhaps the physical effects of the crash may remain, however the characters will remember everything that has happened. I believe that a lot of the story will take place on the island, perhaps similarly to Season 5 where some took place on both the island and in NYC.
