The Film Adaptation of the Comic Deadworld is Set to Wow Zombie Movie Fans
The hugely popular series of zombie comics Deadworld is going to be getting the full movie treatment. The comics became popular 25 years ago when the series of graphic novels garnered a loyal and dedicated fan base. Known for their particularly gruesome story lines and even more horrifying illustrations, the comic's fans revelled in the depictions of the undeads emaciated corpses, whose guts and internal organs often hung loose as they graced the covers of the series of graphic novels.
How the production company involved in creating the movie will be able to translate these unspeakable horrors onto the silver screen I just don't know. But what will set this movie apart from all the other zombie movies out there is its premise. As the movies hero will be King Zombie, yes the movies main character is an actual zombie. King Zombie is the leader of the undead and together they are out for revenge, and actively seeking the extinction of the human species.
This will be a very different and unquestionably unique movie experience compared to the standard formula that zombie fans have become accustom to, a formula created and championed by veteran film director and zombie movie maestro George A. Romero. Whose 70s zombie classic Diary of the Dead created what is now a very successful and lucrative movie franchise.
For zombie movie fans around the world Deadworld will be a twist on an old theme, and I think for that reason alone the movie will be exciting and refreshing to watch. However with the production not beginning until next year, it's going to be a while yet before fans can feast on what is set to be a flesh grindingly good movie.
